Sciatica

Sciatica is an irritation of the sciatic nerve that causes pain, numbness, tingling or weakness in the leg. This irritation can occur as the result of disc bulges, spinal degeneration, muscular tightness, muscle weakness or biomechanical imbalances. The key to finding relief is determining the cause of each case so that the appropriate treatment might be rendered. Treatment might include chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy, mechanical traction, Active Release Technique, therapeutic stretches, and exercise or some combination of the above.
